press release

"After the Italian Chamber of Deputies has passed the draft law against corruption requested by the Five Star Movement it now entered into force. We are fully satisfied and we thank our Government for this historic moment. Italy will never be again among the most corrupt countries in the European Union", said 5 Star Movement's MEP.

"The law contains: a perpetual ban on public offices for corrupt public officials, undercover policeman, harsher penalties for corruption offences, and provisions to encourage public sector whistle-blowers. These are just some of the new rules that reform the anti-corruption system. Soon the measures will be fully operational and will bear fruit. They will allow economic growth again. Indeed, transparency and the fight against corruption will undoubtedly help increasing the business of virtuous enterprises", said 5 Star MEP.
